About Helioripple
Helioripple is an independent practice for computational design, spatial research, and digital tools.
Design approaches evolve at the edge of every century. Studio Helioripple is an independent platform led by Amin Bahrami that investigates a future in which built environments enable productive, resilient, and comfortable coexistence. The studio operates as a laboratory for architecture and urbanism, developing new design tools, integrated computational protocols, and digital apparatuses for emerging urban conditions. Its work combines multidisciplinary research with data-driven methods and machine learning.
Brief history#
Studio Helioripple was founded in 2008 by Amin Bahrami, Kaveh Alagheband, and Alireza Karbasion as a critical, speculative architecture collective with a computational-design focus. The name Helioripple was adopted in 2010 after Azin Shahriari joined the team. Alongside architectural projects, the practice concentrated on tailored design tools that support project objectives and give architects more flexible means of developing and communicating their ideas.
